Kwaai Meraai is a small and quaint Greyton restaurant, coffe shop and gift shop, situated on the Main Road in the Village. Kwaai Meraai provides unpretentious value for money food, and sometimes even a venture into the more exotic dishes. Specialities include delicious sandwiches, home made Ginger Beer and the best burger for miles around. Come and try our super breakfasts. If you are spending a few days in the village and staying over in one of Greyton's self catering cottages, and if you would like yours and your guests breakfast served at your accommodation venue, or you would like for us to arrange a braai or dinner for you, please feel free to contact us.
Kwaai Meraai is situated in a fantastic and truly english countrystyle garden, you may even see a fairy or a gnome or scary troll if you look carefully, not to mention a wandering teapot, which is part of our teapot sanctuary collection. The roses will amaze your senses during October and keep a look out for all the herbs and vegetables in the garden. Bring your own old records with and have a laugh or nostalgic tear over the good old days while humming birds collect nectar all around you in the garden. although we are proud to present you with a authentic south african ( as in 30 something young afrikaans society) experience with a bohemian twist. enjoy the humour of your waiter and feel free to engage in a truely western cape chat. we also do take aways, breakfast delivered at your guesthouse and catering. and the venue can be hired for events or theme d parties. we do a super potjiekos meal and braai on request. gifts and artwork by local artist Gert Naude on display. we are animal friendly and our two resident pets roxy and calimari will be glad to entertain you as our four legged hosts. Not licenced yet - but feel free to bring your own favourite bottle - no corcage.
